Safety
You should be careful when you are in the street because in my city there are a lot of pickpockets, so try avoid going out at night in the inner city and always try to be with someone else.
Also, If something happens, you can trust the police.
Sightseeing
If you come to visit my city you should go to "La Boca" where you can find historic places and also you can visit Boca Juniors's Stadium. But if you want to visit a more modern place you can go to Puerto Madero.
Also, you can't miss "El Planetario", it's a very interesting place that you should visit!
Food and Drink
Buenos Aires is known for their good taste of food and if you come here you must try the "Asado", the "Empanadas" and the "Dulce de Leche". The local tap water is drinkable so you don't have to worry about that!

as for what you say, and this is my opinion of course, you should be careful about how you think of "the poor places" and how "the police" can be reliable. It is really complex, and I invite you to think those things over. Of course, this is just my own belief, I just evaluate the grammatical skills you have!
