When I was a child, I didn't use to have problems to sleep at night, but one Sunday, I remember that I couldn't fall asleep. When I was in the bed, I was thinking, 'Maybe I can't fall asleep because I'm taking violin classes in the afternoon' but that didn't make any sense, because the violin is an instrument that helps you relax, it doesn't keep you awake.
Then I called my mom to asked her what to do, because the following day I had to go to school, and she told me 'You have to count sheep to fall asleep'. I tried, but it didn't have good results, so I started counting bees, and dogs and all the animals that I remembered. Suddenly I could make it.
I thought it was like magic, but I asked my dad and he told me that as I was focused on counting sheep, I had forgetten the point. Since my dad told me that, the 'counting sheep' theory didn't work for me, because I already had learnt the trick.
