Counting Sheep - Thomas

Five nights. I hadn´t slept for five nights. The previous month I had slept for more than seven hours every day. But that week I couldn't. ”I would rather sleep” I was thinking. But I didn´t want to for real. What did I have to do to feel tired?
I was in my bed when, instantly, a song came to my mind.  The name of this song was rare, but It was catchy. If I listen to it now I will recognise the tune but I cannot say the name. So I had two problems: insomnia and remembering that song´s name. I remember that I had sung it with my friends at school, that´s all. So I started to send messages to find that song on the internet. I remembered It had the sound of a saxophone and that I felt too energetic when I listened to it.

That song had disappeared. I have never listened to It again. That was such a rare thing. I was quiet.  I had to try to sleep again. just counting sheep.

Counting sheep -Agustina.

Counting sheep

Most people start feeling sleepy around 11.00 at night. But I'm not in that group of people.
Two weeks ago, I went to bed at 11.00  but obviusly I couldn't sleep. I turned on the TV, as I'm used to doing every night, and I watched it until I fell asleep.
I was in a farm full of sheep. And I started to listen to some music. I didn't know what it was called but I recognized the tune. However, I walked towards a sheep and when I touched it, it disappeared. I was in a dream!
I was bored so I began counting sheep. One sheep... Two sheep... Three sheep... And when I got to the sheep number seven I suddenly woke up. It was 7.00 in the morning and I had to go to school!
I only slept for  five hours and I just wanted to stay in bed and lie down. That day at school was awful. I was really exhausted.

Counting sheep
When I was a child, I had a lot of problems with the term “sleep”. I spent many nights trying to fall asleep and couldn’t, and that made me really annoyed because I really wanted to fall asleep but all my effort was in vain. However, the longest period I suffered from insomnia was, at least, an hour or two, but it was actually tough.. Anyway, the worst sleepless night I had was when I bought a new bed. The first night I slept there, it took me five hours to fall asleep. It was horrible, because I was exhausted but I couldn’t, perhaps it was the fact that I wasn't used to my new bed yet. However, this anecdote wasn´t the worst.  The story I remember as the “scariest night” gave me nightmares for several nights. It happened many years ago, but I still remember it as if it had been yesterday. That day, my friends had told me a ghost story, so I had lied down more scared than sleepy. Again, I had insomnia, but this time I was covered with my blanket and my pillow, trying not to see the scaring shadows. Then, I heard a noise and, slowly, I leant out my head and saw a figure that shocked me. It looked like the monster I had  heard about in the story and I was so terrified that my heart almost got out of my chest. I had several bad nights, but this one is the worst insomnia night I have ever had.

Counting Sheep

When I was younger, a person had told me "if you coudn’t sleep because you suffer from imsomnia, you could count sheeps to relax  and let the dream comes to you".  You start counting one sheep, two sheep, three...until you fall asleep.
When I did it, I felt so calm eventually, as I couldn’t sleep very well.  I didn’t use to have problems when I was younger, but year by year I started having more and more things to do like training in the gym and playing football, so I ended the week very tired.
Whenever I count sheep, I dream with football matches and gyms, because those are the two things that I like. Finally, the sleeping thing got better and I 've got used to counting sheep in the end.

Counting sheep

When I was a child, I didn't use to have problems to sleep at night, but one Sunday, I remember that couldn't fall asleep. When I was in the bed, I was thinking, 'Maybe I can't fall asleep because I'm taking violin classes in the afternoon' but that didn't make any sense, because the violin is an instrument that helps you relax, it doesn't keep you awake.
Then I called my mom to asked her what to do, because the following day I had to go to school, and she told me 'You have to count sheep to fall asleep'. I tried, but it didn't have good results, so I started counting bees, and dogs and all the animals that I remembered. Suddenly I could make it.
I thought it was like magic, but I asked my dad and he told me that as I was focused  on counting  sheep, I had forgetten the point. Since my dad told me that, the 'counting sheep' theory didn't work for me, because I already had learnt the trick.

Counting Sheep (Lola)

There was a boy who used to have problems to sleep so, as he couldn´t sleep, he remembered something that he had heard when he was younger. "If you can´t sleep just start counting sheep; that really helps..." That phrase was still resounding in his head when he started counting.
One, two, three, fifty, one hundred seventy nine... He couldn´t fall asleep. He counted twenty more sheep when he started dreaming.

The first thing that appeared in his dream was a sheep dancing ballet. Then a sheep dancing to salsa music and then, to tango! He couldn´t understand what was going on but he really enjoyed the dream...until the sheep began to die. He was terrified and he couldn't believe that after he had had so much problems falling asleep now he couldn´t wake up!

Counting sheep

When Thomas was a child, her mother gave him a pice of advice: ''everytime that you can't sleep and you suffer from insomia, you should count sheep until you fall asleep.''

He didn't use to have problems to sleep because he had to do a lot of activities apart from school. such as playing the piano and the violin, so he ended the day too tired. However, one nigth when he was eighteen years old and he had already given up his activities, he couldn't sleep, so he remembered his mother's advice and then he started to count sheep...

Whenever he counted up to seventy sheep, he could sleep, but he had a strange dream: he dreamed that seventy crazy sheep could play  different instruments as the saxophone, the trumpet, the drums or the piano and they had a band which had a lead singer but their music was incomprehensible and monotonous. Finally, the dream became a nigthmare so he promised himself not to count sheep anymore.
