Flood in Buenos Aires

I was going back home after school on a freezing day when it began to rain. My mum was waiting for me and I was trying to hurry because I didn't have an umbrella.

I was far from home when it started to pour with rain so I decided it was high time I ran. Finally, twenty minutes later, I arrived at my house although it was still raining a lot. My mum was worried because the water began to enter the kitchen. It was a real flood! We looked out of the window and saw that the street was filled and covered with water too.

The next day I watched the TV and I realized that there had been 196,4 milimeters of water accumulated in just 24 hours and hundreds of people had to evacuate their homes. Such a disaster!

  1. the story is fine although sometimes it's too abrupt. I mean, it's like you are not using adjectives or adverbs which are useful to make stories really hooking. pay attention to the corrections!
