Abzurdah

Abzurdah is the writer Cielo Latini's autobiography. It tells us about her life, after being diagnosed with anorexia and bulimia. It also tells us about her “relationship” with a boy called Alejo, to whom  she met by Messenger. The story takes place here, in Buenos Aires. A summary of the story could be that she was in love with him, and he pretended that he was too. But he acted in such a way that made her feel so bad, that she came to think she wasn’t good enough for him, when it was the other way about. When she was recovering from anorexia and bulimia, some situations made her fall into self harm once again

The best thing about the book is the topic it broaches, because, even though it is a little bit harsh, they are things that happen in real life as there are a lot of people suffering from that kind of disorder.

I absolutely recommend this book because Cielo Latini writes in such a way that invites you to continue reading. And also because it’s my favourite book: I love reading about anorexia, self-harm, and similar subjects.

I think that if the character had paid attention to her as she deserved it, maybe she would  have never been through all these painful situations.
